ellobofilipino asked: Thank you sir! I am trying to look for a copy of the WWF report online but I can't seem to find any. I have a soft copy of it though. And it is really apocalyptic. So much so that I have advised my parents to look for another house in Cagayan de Oro where they can relocate to because our present house is sure to disappear in the next 6 to 12 years :(. Have you seen the report?

I have heard of that report, but alas I have not seen it! I am trying to remember where I read about so I can try and find it.

I think the best example of the perils are what is going on in the Maldives (the Maldives right?) at the moment. They are losing property as the ocean rises.

I’m trying to remember the details of what would happen here from when I read about the report, something like half of our islands are under threat? You are absolutely correct, it is an apocalyptic scenario! I’m going to have to go and hunt for it, I would like to read it.

The other one that is also incredibly disturbing is the Metro Manila Earthquake report that was funded by the Japanese a few years ago. I would hope that the next NDCC will start commissioning reports and disaster scenario testing for the rest of the Philippines. Only by modeling the worst case scenarios can adequately plan for mitigation and response.
