Like I said, whatever the reason. A lot of harm has been done in the name of the greater good.

He did profit and benefit, and it is quite difficult to substantiate what ‘good’ he did for his countrymen.

Then there is the example of Justice Jose Abad Santos y Basco, who would rather die than see his people enslaved again. Not to mention all of the people, from various walks of life, who were killed in the streets and in the battlefields; who became guerilleros and refused to give up the fight.

I am not sure how else Jose P Laurel can be considered when he supported an occupying force that essentially slaughtered close to a million Filipinos. He acted as a figurehead president, he attempted to publicly ‘clean’ the various atrocities of the Japanese during World War II.
